So I was wearing this bandana at the mall the other day. It keeps out drafts. I work close by and was buying a coffee. I was approached by a security guard who works there. He was civil, but he asked me to remove the bandana. He cited the mall ST-LAURENT CENTRE - MALL RULES item:

7. Wearing of gang paraphernalia of disguises (i.e. bandanas, hoods, ski masks, etc.)

What the hell? The stupidity of this is astounding. I bought it from one of their stores. So they sell you stuff you can't wear while you are on their property. I was gob-smacked. I even pointed into one of the stores where an employee was wearing an bandana. I guess you have to work there if you don't want to be told what you can and can't wear on their property.

...Stupid mall rules.

So I dig this photo of mine.

skomra and AKA33 both added it as a favorite. That's high praise indeed. I bike by this building all the time to and from work and Dainen-ji. I like the concrete surrounding the windows and the patterns the windows make. For this shot I accidentally left the camera on "bulb". This can be disastrous if you want things in focus. My intention was to have a sharp image, but Holga images don't tend to be sharp. What was I thinking? Who knows because it was a while ago that I took this and I can't remember. So what I was to say about this picture is:
1. Square format is awesome.
2. Holga accidents can be awesome, unless the accident was not to take the lens cap off. Holga is not TTL, the viewfinder looks through a different hole than the lens.
3. I think no tripod and "bulb" setting should be explored and experimented with.
4. I love Kodak TMAX Black and White film because it is very forgiving regarding exposure. My Holga 120N only has one exposure because I haven't modified the aperture mechanism. Instructions to to so can be found here. Thank you squarefrog!!
Exclusive to Ottawa Cigar Emporium. The newest status symbol sweeping the globe, the Singelringen has been spotted on stars such as Julieta Lewis, Terrence Howard, Monique Coleman, Wilmer Valderamma, Maria Menounos and Mario Lopez. Singelringen has no opinion on whether the single life is the optimal life to live, or not. We just encourage people to enjoy their single lives! By wearing your Singelringen, you declare that it is OK to be single.

This is hilarious. People are so insecure about being single that they need a status symbol to say that "it's OK to be single". Hilarious.
